Orders obtained in Headquarters can give you bonus XP. Basically speaking, you're entirely on your own in this mode, and you should expect it to be a quick, hectic game. Free-for-All - This mode pits 4 to 8 players against one another, with no teamwork or co-operation, and no party play allowed. However, enemies can also recover their team's dog tags, but you can also pick up your own teams fallen tags, so it's not just a straight up kill mode. Kill Confirmed - In Kill Confirmed, you'll need to collect the dog tags of every single enemy that you kill, in order for the kill to count towards the match total. You can always see the location of the ball and the player carrying it, so make sure to go after whoever is carrying the ball, and recover it for your own team. Two teams of six compete to claim a single ball, and carry it to the opposing teams goal. Gridiron - A brand new mode for Call of Duty: WW2, Gridiron is exactly what it says on the tin. It's a small, fairly hectic mode, and you'll want to stick with your team to win the mode. Search and Destroy - One of the core modes of the Call of Duty multiplayer, Search and Destroy pits two teams of up to six players against one another, as both take it in turns to plant and defend points against bombs. It's a complicated mode, but it definitely mixes things up a bit. Each section is timed, so the defending team only win if they can hold the attackers off at one point for long enough. Going from the attacker’s point of view, you have to firstly capture a zone, then gradually build a bridge while getting shot at, then plant and defend a bomb until it detonates, and then escort a tank to the end of the map. War - In this multi-stage mode, attackers and defenders have to either assault or defend multiple stages on a single map.Although you can never predict where the zone is going to move to, it's a good idea to move out just before the zone timer expires, even if you're currently holding the point. Pay attention to where the Hardpoint is on your mini-map, but also note the timer below the mini-map, this indicates when the zone is going to move. Hardpoint - There's a single point on the map that both teams fight over to control, and the team that has players occupying the area gains points towards victory. The trick with this mode is to never rest for too long on one point, and if you manage to capture two of the three points, make sure you push ahead to the final one, instead of hanging back from it and waiting for the enemy team to come to you. Domination - There are three positions on the map, and your team has to hold as many as they can, in order to accumulate more points than the enemy team.Strength in numbers is actually quite a decent tactic in this mode, so it's a good idea never to stray too far from the rest of your team. Team Deathmatch - The standard mode in the vast majority of online games, you simply have to kill enemy players faster than they can kill your team, and you'll win. This guide will give you a complete rundown of every mode in the game, and will also give you some general tips and tricks to improve your chances of winning at each.
